BAFCA 10 Year Vision
  To be effective, coaches need to fulfil several different roles within a team, these include technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of our game. It is therefore vital to provide ongoing development opportunities to encourage coaches to enhance their skills and attributes in a way that is appropriate to their own coaching environment and code of the sport. There are currently over 2,000 accredited coaches registered with British American Football Coaches Association, however they are not necessarily engaged or aware of the coach education pathway and subsequent professional development opportunities and networks to access to enhance their delivery. There are a vast majority of coaches that are required to coach in a variety of environments and with players of different levels. This can lead coaches to becoming overloaded, time restricted, this limits their capacity to focus on their own professional development and mental wellbeing. Thus, not reaching their true potential in their chosen or identified area of expertise
