  The constrained environment dominating Post-disaster Post-sheltering design solutions often results in a lack of consideration of sustainability and social dimensions. Neglecting sustainability has severe practical consequences on both people and the environment, and in the long run it also incurs in higher costs. A design workshop was organised in February 2019 by REBEL (Resource Efficiency Built Environment Lab) with the main aim to come up with innovative design solutions with focus on the African context. The workshop was hosted at the University of Cape Town (Department of Constructions and Economics) and the main finding have been summarised in this poster presentation.
