Full text not available from this repository. (Request a copy)Abstract/Description
'Music for Piano and Strings' includes the 2005 piano quintet with the Artists in Residence at Napier, the Edinburgh Quartet, as well as all of the major works for solo piano. It is Crawford's first offering in three years and only his second body of work to be recorded professionally, after he left the realm of composition to take up a post as a BBC producer in 1958. Now aged 83, Crawford has returned, and his partnership with Nicholas Ashton has brought critical acclaim.
